何琛瑶

Eva Chenyao He (b. 2001, Shenzhen, China) is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York, focusing on sculpture, performance, and moving images. She received a BFA in Fine Arts with Interdisciplinary Study minor at The Cooper Union in the United States in 2025, with an exchange program at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in the Netherlands in 2023.

Her work navigates the tensions between reality and simulacra, permanence and transience, and individual experience and grand narratives. Through ambiguity and uncertainty, she explores human vulnerability and subjectivity. She constructs ephemeral and transient spaces enclosed within soft boundaries, where viewers engage with the fluidity of existence between lightness and weight, transparency and concealment. Her work questions how the boundaries of reality are constructed and perceived. She is particularly interested in how individuals seek shelter within constructed realities and how identity is continuously reshaped in the context of consumer culture and spectacle society. As reality is replicated, substituted, and reconstituted, she attempts to render these landscapes visible, granting fleeting moments a sense of durational presence.

何琛瑶，2001年出生于中国深圳，目前生活和工作于纽约，就读于美国库伯联盟学院纯艺专业，辅修跨学科研究。曾在荷兰里特维尔德学院交换学习。 她的作品包括雕塑、行为表演与影像等多种媒介。

何琛瑶的创作围绕真实与拟像、永恒与瞬逝、个体与宏大叙事的张力展开，在模糊与不确定性中探讨人类脆弱性与主体性，我构建短暂而临时的空间，被柔性边界包围的场域，在轻盈与沉重、透明与遮蔽之间体验存在的流动，并质疑真实的边界如何被塑造与感知。我关注个体如何在被塑造的现实中寻求庇护，并在消费文化与景观社会中不断重塑自身认同。当现实被复制、替代、再现，我尝试让这些景观显影，让短暂的瞬间拥有一种绵延的存在。
